we have the same problem with Fed Ex… they like to send our stuff to the W version of our address, less than half a mile away. Once I had to go to that address (after seeing “delivered” on the tracking page, but no box anywhere in sight) to retrieve my package from Blick. I knocked, no one was home, my name was in plain sight, so I took it… UPS, no problemo.

Oh well!

The Multi looms are the ones that use sock yarns and yes, the pins are closer sett on those. About 1/8th inch center to center, whereas the Quilt Weaver looms are 1/4″.

Hi Hazel, sorry I’m a little late to the party this week. I agree that there is absolutely something delightful about the little critters. I loved “the glint of blue” but was a wee bit lost as to “knowing what would happen shortly.” My best guess was copulation, but damselflies last a bit longer than a few minutes (at least according to this, anyway http://ecoevo.uvigo.es/PDF/Anim_Behav_vol_59_pp_695-703_(2000).pdf). If I was far off in my guess, you may want to play around with wording and try different descriptions for what “it” is (I enjoyed the build up/mystery, but it’s possible it was a little too mysterious). “Gowned in blue, smiling up at me” was an intriguing description—it made me think of the little creature as human, and I wondered if that was how the narrator was seeing her/him. Nice work

I like how the delicacy of the story reflects our perception of the damselfly’s delicacy, along with the thrill of Nature accepting you completely when you are still and benevolent toward it. Beautiful. I’m on the list.

I’ve been looking at the other pictures and posts you have here. Are you in SW Colorado? We’ve been looking for land out that way. Hope all is well with the fires, though, it’s sounding pretty bad.
