The
Kid's Stuff Kit contains the 7" square loom, weaving hook, packing
fork, yarn needle, and enough yarns to make a snowman just like this
one pictured here. There are almost a dozen other projects for young
fingers and this loom. The book has photo instructions for weaving and
for assembling your project as well as a lesson on how to make a
crocheted chain like snowman's fringed scarf. Recommended for most kids ages 8 to 14. (Woods and yarn colors may vary.) Due to rising costs of brass, as well as other supplies we will have to
limit the number of packing forks and weaving hooks sent with your looms in an
effort to keep prices down. We will include one hook or needle and one packing
fork with each order. If you want extras they are available to order
separately. We are sorry to have to do this and hope this will be a temporary

The book that comes with the kit has weaving instructions in photographs and sketches. Directions for sewing blocks together, for making tubes for bodies and for gathering ends and making ears on your animals. There's a little one block teddy bear, kitty, and squirrel. There's a purse project with variations, a larger 8 block teddy bear, and an 8 block doll. There's ideas for making a blanket for doll or a larger one for you. There's a cube, which can be stuffed to make a ball or fitted over a box to make a basket. There is also a pattern for a more complicated doll and suggestions for making scarves or poncho's. The kit includes yarn to make a one block snowman and his hat and scarf. His scarf is a crocheted chain stitch and there's photo instructions for making the chain. |
