My project
playsuit2b (58k image)

I think this 1940's swim suit is a cute playsuit and decided to try it *without* making any changes! razz But I really don't think the way the shorts are made that they are going to fit very well so I might, after all, have to make a few small "adjustments". razz Anyway, it's woven on the 4" Multi Loom using A textured yarn from my stash: Bernat Calico. 13% acrylic 9% polyester, 64% cotton, & 19% nylon. It wove up nicely and not sheer, which I thought important for that design. I will need to find a warm model when it's finished. My last young lady graduated from high school and went away to collage but surely someone around here must have a granddaughter eager to earn a little cash for looking pretty! big grin If I find one you will see her here.

My Show!
Marie.2 (257k image)

We hung the show today! Margaret brought her paintings in at noon but Marie and I spent most of the day arranging and hanging. The official Opening is Saturday evening at the Art Cruise. I'm excited Got a nice write up in the paper, too, as you see above. smile I sure hope I don't break my arm with all this self back patting! big grin .... but I do think it looks rather nice! In fact, I have already had an inquiry from a Gentleman who was hanging his own show next door! Very flattering.
The 3 paintings on the right are mine. Marie is hanging tow of Margaret's.

Fleur
peonies (299k image)

Good thing I brought these in yesterday, The thunder storms we had today and this evening have the rest of them with their pretty pink faces in the mud. shocked The hail didn't do them any good, either. On the other hand all the rain probably saved us from a lot of lightening fires. I'm told Southern Trinity reported 85 or so from yesterday's storms. I hope some of this rain got down to them.
It's still sprinkling out there but I haven't head any rumbling for awhile. It's gotten cold, tho. From days in the lower 90's we're now 52! Chilly!
But Thank you, Mother Nature... we needed the rain. smile
