Thursday, January 18, 2007Ice on the water All that white stuff around the rocks and the edges of Coffee Creek is ice. It melted some yesterday but isn't gone and refroze nicely today. But it only got down to 25 last night, better than the 16 we had before. Still no snow in sight, tho. It's getting late, too, and our snow-pack is way short. But I guess Randy and the guys will be getting a lot of plumbing jobs this spring. Starting right here.  The hose bib out front split, whichis the one I use to water all the planter boxes and the dogs. It's the only one we've found so far...  Well. I got the mid-winter droops. Hope you all are doing better. posted @ 01:45 PM PST [link] Monday, January 15, 2007My lace hat Knitted this from the pattern in A Gathering Of Lace. It needs a bit of blocking but I'll have to wait until I can find a big piece of board or something to pin it out on. I think it's going to be okay, tho. I've been knitting little things. The hat is out of some linen thread I bought to weave a table cloth, but that didn't work out. Just finished a doily for my kitchen turn table. Now I'm crocheting a dress for my girl doll. Too cold to do anything outside. It's been around 16 for the last three+ mornings. And looks like continuering in the same vein for another week. Oh well, the fire is warm and it gives me a good excuse to sit and play with yarn.  But what I wanted to say is that you won't be seeing the Blue Thing finished any time soon. Ran into a major snag.
